Kaila has lived and worked in the fitness industry up and down the East Coast, while and after earning her Bachelor's in Dietetics. Dave was one of Kaila’s first mentors in 2003, when she first began in the industry. Since reuniting professionally in 2012, they have teamed together to grow and advance (no pun, haha) the Pulse business.
Kaila is an avid sports fan and enjoys fitness as part of her daily lifestyle. She’s been weight training since she was 14 years old, participated in advanced speed and agility training, and tried her hand in competing in NPC sanctioned bikini competitions. She also played NCAA Division II volleyball in Philadelphia during college and competed in volleyball, basketball and track in high school. More recently, she's learning about the greater importance of flexibility, mobility and creating a strong range of motion.
Kaila enjoys the challenge of working behind the scenes with Dave on more complex cases, giving him an extra set of eyes and ears to create the most complete and personalized programs. With her clinical experience and multiple fitness and medical mentors, she's able to give a fresh and informed approach to complement Pulse's mission. While she doesn't work for Pulse full-time, she's instrumental in helping both on the clinical and technical side of the business to ensure our clients have a smooth, professional and positive experience.
Still personal training part-time, Kaila will take on Pulse clients who are looking for a more personalized approach to their fitness goals. She has a special interest in any type of post-trauma, working around and often times alleviating aches and pains, while creating true foundational strength to build upon. Kaila also is able to help clients learn how to change their overall aesthetic shape through their training, including competitive athletes.
